Piplon Ushers in a New Era of Cricket with One-on-Many Format and Piplon Pro League India 2026–27

Ulwe, Navi Mumbai, October 22, 2026: Piplon Sports International Pvt. Ltd. has launched the Piplon Format, a new individual competition model introducing a One-on-Many category to cricket. The announcement was made during the inauguration of the Piplon Sports Player Development Arena in Ulwe on October 18, 2026.

The event also marked the launch of Piplon Pro League India 2026–27, featuring both tennis-ball and leather-ball cricket. Matches are scheduled to begin on November 15, 2026, across multiple locations in five states.

In the Piplon Format, players compete individually rather than as members of a team. Batters compete against batters, while bowlers compete against bowlers, allowing participants to register independently and showcase their individual abilities.

Key features of the format include:

• Equal Opportunities: Every player gets a fair and equal platform to showcase their individual skills.

• Live Digital Scoring: All match data and scores are recorded live through the official Piplon Sports App.

• Performance-Driven Advancement: In every match, the two highest-scoring batters and two highest-scoring bowlers advance to the next level, ensuring a transparent, merit-based pathway and eliminating dependency on manual scouting.

Players can register for multiple opportunities to compete, with their performances determining their progression through the league.

The Piplon Pro League India 2026–27 pathway begins at the Qualifier level and progresses through District, Zone, and State levels before reaching the National level. This structured approach aims to support grassroots cricket development by providing players with a defined route to compete and progress in both tennis-ball and leather-ball cricket.

Through individual registration, live digital scoring, and performance-based advancement, Piplon Sports aims to expand access to organised competition and create opportunities for more players to demonstrate their abilities.

The launch event brought together prominent sporting personalities and distinguished guests, including Shri Pravin Tambe, former IPL cricketer and global sports icon; Shri Krishna Satpute, renowned tennis-ball cricketer; Shri Paresh Dada Thakur, Vice President of the Maharashtra Badminton Association and Managing Director of Ramsheth Thakur International Sports Complex; Shri Vaijanath Kamthewad, Indian ultramarathon runner, retired Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax, and Tribunal Member; Shri Badal Doshi, five-time national champion bike racer; and Shri Vitesh Mhatre, sports enthusiast and member of the Panchayat Samiti.

The inauguration of the Piplon Sports Player Development Arena marked another step in the organisation's efforts to build a dedicated platform for cricket and player development.
