Public Notice, Warning Against Unauthorized OTT / Digital Release & Copyright Infringement Of “Chennai Love Story”

TAKE NOTICE that this Public Notice is issued under instructions from MR. ANAPANA LAKSHMI NARAYANA, Partner at M/S REDPOINT ENTERTAINMENT (Surat, Gujarat) (“My Client”) regarding the copyrighted screenplay “CHINEMA / CINEMA” and feature film “CHENNAI LOVE STORY”:

My Client is the sole original author, creator, and legal copyright owner of the registered original screenplay titled “CHINEMA / CINEMA”, duly registered with the Screenwriters Association (SWA), Mumbai under Copyright Act, 1957. It has come to our knowledge that the newly released Telugu feature film titled “CHENNAI LOVE STORY”—produced by M/S MASS MOVIE MAKERS LLP (PARTNERS: DASARI MARUTI & SREENIVASA KUMAR GADE ) and M/S AMRUTHA PRODUCTIONS LLP (PARTNERS: SAI RAJESH NEELAM & SUBHASHINI VANGIPURAM), and directed by MR. RAVI NAMBURI—has unlawfully copied, misappropriated, and adapted the core plot, creative spine, and narrative of My Client’s copyrighted work without any consent, license, or legal authorization. Consequently, a Police Complaint was filed in the Pandesara Police Station, Surat on 27/07/2026. Further to the detailed Legal Cease & Desist Notice issued and served upon the noticees on 29/07/2026. In light of the pending legal actions and responses, the copyright and intellectual property dispute concerning the film “CHENNAI LOVE STORY” remains expressly CONTESTED and UNRESOLVED before the competent authorities and court of law.

RESTRAINT ON UPCOMING OTT / DIGITAL RELEASE

Notice is hereby given restraining the streaming, releasing, broadcasting, or monetizing of the feature film “CHENNAI LOVE STORY” across all OTT Platforms and Broadcast Media—including NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME VIDEO, DISNEY+ HOTSTAR, AHA, ZEE5, SONY LIV, YOUTUBE, ETC., INCLUDING SATELLITE/TELEVISION, OTT/DIGITAL, REMAKE, DUBBING, ADAPTATION AND ALL OTHER ANCILLARY RIGHTS —and a copy of this Public Notice along with relevant case information is being transmitted via corporate email to their respective official channels purely for formal information and record.

STRICT LEGAL WARNING TO ALL DISTRIBUTORS & OTT PLATFORMS

NO THIRD-PARTY MONETIZATION: Platforms streaming "CHENNAI LOVE STORY" shall be treated as active co-infringers under Copyright Act, 1957.

STAY/MANDATORY HOLD: Platforms must maintain status quo and HOLD / SUSPEND any release until legal clearance is obtained from My Client.

LEGAL PROCEEDINGS: Any violation or action beyond this Public Notice will constrain My Client to implead such OTT platforms/broadcasters directly as Co-Defendants in the pending Suits, seeking severe civil damages, confiscation/blocking of media content, and criminal prosecution.
